Stillwater OK History: Origin Story to WPA Era

Stillwater is where Oklahoma began and 9th and Main is where Stillwater began -- but long before that the native ancestors of many local Stillwaterites lived here for centuries. This tour gives an overview of the prehistoric, pre-settlement and pre-Stillwater history and then dives into the beginnings of Stillwater from a United State government perspective and tells of the next stages of the towns development into the Works Progress Administration era.
